A range of VHF mobile radiotelephone systems known as the Lynx has been introduced by Dymar Electronics. Compact circuitry allows for a 5in. elliptical loudspeaker as well as optional extras such as a selective calling system to be built into a single 0.15 cu ft package.
Basically, the Lynx range offers the choice of AM or FM equipment in either low-power or highpower versions and as either single-package local-control types or as extended-control versions. The transmitter /receiver is located under a seat, the control panel on the dashboard.
All models are available with one, six or 10 channels, with a choice of channel spacing and frequency bands.
The complete receiver circuit board hinges out of the casing to give accessibility to both sides of the board.
A selective call system with an individual tone call — any one of 100,000 available on the Dymar system — allows the operator to ignore this call signal.
A warning light informs the driver when he has missed a message and should call base.
