Ltd., Hillside Oil Works, Brighouse, Yorks, under the name of Black-Moly. The lubricant is carried in suspension in a liquid which evaporates quickly after spraying to leave a dry film of molybdenum disulphide on the surface of the part.

As the molybdenum disulphide becomes bonded to the metal on which it is sprayed, and cannot be rubbed off, Black.-Moly will be useful for lubricating such things as door catches without thedanger of people marking their clothes by rubbing against them. An important use would be for spraying parts prior to the assembly of units.
