Dhe transport industry's very own supergroup, The Heathrow Flyers, appear at Truckfest next month to promote a new single.
The song, Sally Jo's Truckstop, could be in with a chance of charting since receiving heavy airplay on Radio One DJ Bruno Brookes' breakfast show.
Older readers and pop pedants will recall that Flyers' lead singer, Kelvin Purcell, is no stranger to fame—he was drummer for The Hotshots when their single, Snoopy vs the Red Baron, peaked at number two in 1973.
Those heady days included touring with The Equals and Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers.
These days Kelvin is an ownerdriver based at Heathrow—the other group members are all employed drivers.
