"Absolutely delighted!" was how Peter Hunt, of Darrell Couriers based in Fife, summed up his feelings on learning that he had won a £15,000 satellite
tracking system. The prize came from a CM competition run in conjunction with Vehicle Solutions; it includes five state-of-the-art satellitetracking vehicle units with UK communication line rental and tracking messaging charges
for six months. Peter is shown here (left, standing) with colleague Alan Foulkes getting to grips with the V-Sol 2000 system. In the competition he correctly guessed the destination of the vehicle as Southampton and clinched the prize with these words: "Now proof is accessible, operators can be more trusting of the good guys."
On winning he explained to CM how the system will help his business: "It's a good management tool for me to monitor vehicle movements
and cut out any sort of unauthorised usage. We're still at the early stages of learning about it, but being able to track a vehicle and know its exact whereabouts will enable me to promote the system as a big benefit to my customers."
The prize was presented to Darrell Couriers by Paul Baston (second left), marketing director at Vehicle Solutions. Also appearing in the line-up (left) along with Peter Hunt and Alan Foulkes, is Gillian Hunt who is a partner in the company.
Tracking system, hmm? I hope this doesn't give our editor-in-chief any ideas regarding a certain threewheeled vehicle driven by yours truly.
