HGV Class 1 driver Martin Stamps (right) is celebrating his 10th anniversary with Relief Driver Services of Wolverhampton. Since registering with the recruitment agency on 14 March 1990, Martin hasn't stopped working, and for the past eight years he has worked on the same assignment for the same company.
In recognition of this sterling service, RDS managing director Melvyn Cowley is seen here presenting Martin with a Rotary watch. But the laurels didn't stop there. The company so values Martin's loyalty that it also presented him with a brand new Seat Ibiza 1.2GL car which it will insure, tax and maintain for the first year.
Melvyn explains that beneath this driver's modest demeanour lies a steely determination: '1 remember Martin getting stranded in Halesfiekl when the vehicle he was driving broke down in heavy snow about six years ago. Not being able to contact anyone, Martin walked to his home in Brownhills (a distance of about 28 miles) in a snow storm, to get the
