weekend hauling a Hercules C130 military aircraft from Tilbury docks to Cambridge.
The plane had been dismantled for its journey from Milwaukee in the United States. and a fleet of six trucks were needed to move its component parts.The plane's fuselage was transported in one piece: it measured 5.13m wide and 31.4m long, and weighed in at 55 tonnes. Hallett Silberman's routeing officer, Dick Fisher, says the run up the M25, Ml] and A14 went smoothly: the firm will be moving another Hercules on the same route later this month.
