Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Two tyre companies have introduced 70 Series tyres to cater for light CVs running at higher speeds with heavier loads. Pirelli's L6 compound tyre and Uniroyal's MAX 400 both fit 15in wheel rims.

A new tread pattern on the L6 compound tyre is said to give higher levels of grip with better water drainage, while maintaining low noise and vibration levels.

The MAX 400 is fitted as standard on Ford Transits; Uniroyal claims it saves fuel by reducing rolling resistance. A load capacity of 1,120kg avoids the need for dual tyres on rear axles and increases the interior load space between the wheel arches.

Other claimed benefits include reduced and more uniform tyre wear, improved stability, better handling and a safer, more comfortable ride.
