• Consideration of disciplinary action against BJ Moore & Sons, of Cheddar, was adjourned by Western TC Christopher Heaps at a Bristol public inquiry The TC has given the firm 14 days to produce additional financial information.
Weighty fine
• Northallerton magistrates fined Bruce Cook Road Planing £900 with £188 costs when it admitted exceeding the permitted gross weight of a fouraxled rigid by 7.7%. Driver Darren Mankin was given a 12month conditional discharge.
Revocation quashed
• The Transport Tribunal has quashed the revocation of the licence held by Exeter-based Harris Transport after concluding the revocation was caused by errors at the TAO.
No action
• Scottish DTC Richard McFarlane took no action against the licence held by Peterhead-based Les Taylor Contracts but issued a final warning about maintenance at an Aberdeen disciplinary inquiry.
Licence granted
• Kelso-based Key Waste Management has been granted a licence for seven vehicles and two trailers at an Edinburgh public inquiry. Scottish TC Michael Betts called for a copy of a factoring agreement by 1 August and first-year accounts by 1 Apri11999.
