HAMPSHIRE-BASED Tructyre (Fleet Management) has bought Kent-based Commercial Tyres to create a tyre sales and service firm stretching across 10 counties in the South East.
The acquisition of Commercial Tyres will also see Tructyre run a combined fleet of 95 service vehicles from 21 depots — nine of which where acquired from the Kent firm as part of the deal.
Tructyre MD Glenn Sherwood said: "Both companies have worked closely together for a number of years and have good synergies.
"Coming together under one roof was a natural move and will help strengthen our position in the marketplace," he added.
Commercial Tyres MD Paul Kuske will remain with the business and help with the integration of the two companies.
