Tomorrow (July 7) and on Saturday of next week the quiet acres of Bramcote — where the Lorry Driver of the Year finals are held in September each year — will be rocking with 50,000 people, for these are the two public open days of Ford's Summer Fair. There'll be aerobatics and free-fall parachuting and kart racing and hot-air balloons and fashion shows and barndancing and gymnastics and jousting and autocross and brass bands....
Ford don't do things by halves, do they? On top of all these open-day attractions for the family, there'll be a vast display of commercial vehicles and cars, which on the weekdays between July 2 and 14 will be inspected by around 30,000 trade guests — from fleet owners to suppliers and dealers.
The whole event is said to be costing to stage.
On the open days, gates open at 10 am and close around 5 pm.
