A process which enables two layers of stretch nylon material to he knitted together has been developed by Southfields, and the finished material, which can be used for covering coach seats, looks like heavy brocade.
A range of colours and combinations is available and the material is said to have hard wearing characteristics. It is claimed that the cost of recovering seats on a 41-seat coach with this material is about one-third that of traditional methods.
