Gipping creditors are warned of a 'huge shortfall'

ACCOI JNTANTS HA NI)LING the administration of Gipping Container Services say it racked up debts of f lm.The Felixstowe-based company went into administration on 25 May; insolvency practitioners at Vantis have been sifting through its paperwork including a list of 500 potential creditors, "We're trying to recover the money." says insolvency practitioner Sophie Hyde. "There's a huge shortfall. We're carrying on collecting money owed to the company and once that's in the bank we will ascertain [creditors] position. We can't put a timescale on it because everyone's on different credit terms."
Anthony Simmons at Vantis reports that Gipping's assets were sold to a previously dormant firm, 3PL Solutions, before Vantis was appointed (CM 15 June). Gipping Container Services and 3PL share the same director, Hussein Ahmed.
A Vosa spokesman says 3PL has applied for a standard national licence for 30 trucks and 30 trailers, on 12 May. It has an interim 0-licence for five trucks and five trailers based at Gravesend.
