• Crane Fruehauf trailers designed to carry nuclear flasks are entering service with Nuclear Electric.
They are designed for STGO Category 2 operation up to 80 tonnes GCW and are fitted with sliding covers and pivoting hydraulically powered landing legs. Other features include five airsprung 9.99-tonne axles, the rear three steering via the kingpin and the front one lifting.
They will be hauled by Leyland Daf 95-400s with automatic transmissions.
