AB Cars' routes • Kippax-based operator AB Cars, whose 0-licence was revoked by the North Eastern Traffic Commissioner (CM 30 May-5 June), has had most of its remaining services taken over by main competitor West Riding of Wakefield.
Two circular routes in Rothwell and a rush-hour service between Swillington and Leeds have been registered commercially by West Riding, which is running the routes on existing timings with two new Optare Metroriders.
AB had operated some subsidised routes on behalf of West Yorkshire PTE until March of this year, but these were re-allocated to other companies.
