The news comes as Lex reports the impact of falling truck registrations on its al makes and Isuzu truck distributorships, as a £2.6m loss. Its other businesses— including car rentals— turned in 22% higher profits, at £51.4m, on a 5%
higher turnover of £1.56bn.
"Our emphasis is to increase the contract hire fleet," a spokesman says, but refused to be drawn on possible cuts in its rental fleet.
