Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

APLATFORM length of 25 ft. 6 in. is an important feature of the production model of the new INSN 30-ft. lightweight 6-tonner, the unladen weight of which is under 3 tons. The prototype with 25-ft. 4.1-in. platform and shorter wheelbase will be supplied by Ferraris of Cricklewood, Ltd., the London distributors of Jensen Motors, Ltd.,. West Bromwich, Staffs, to Raymond Way Motors, Ltd., Kilburn,

London, N.W.6. Fitted with towing gear, this is the first JNSN vehicle that has been equipped for hauling a trailer.

The extra length of 2 ft. 6 in. of the production model has been obtained by moving the engine and cab forward 17 in., by increasing the standard wheelbase by Elf in. and extending the rear overhang by 41 in. This gives a wheel base of 16 ft. 10f in., a front overhang of 4 ft. 8 in. and a rear overhang ol 8 ft. 51 in. Because of the greater overhang at the front the wheel-arches are behind the door pillars.

All-alloy chassis construction follows JNSN, practice, being based on main members of 16-in. I-section braced by 15i-in. members of the same type. The floor is corrugated light-alloy section with timber inserts, and is riveted to body cross-bearers of similar material

having diagonal supports. The cab framing is of tubular steel construction c26 and the roof and grille are of resinbonded glass fibre.

Standard mountings are employed for the Perkins P6 oil engine and four, speed gearbox.

The draw hook fitted to the prototype is mounted on a leaf spring, so that the pull is concentrated at the ends of the main chassis members, which arc reinforced behind the rear spring hangers. A cruciform bracing member is also fitted between the longitudinals. The towing equipment increases the -unladen weight above 3 tons, but it can be detached in a few minutes.

The bumpers fitted at the front of the prototype and the 28-in, side panels are special features specified by Raymond Way Motors, Ltd.
