• NcNicholas Construction has taken eight Scania P114 340hp (253kW) 8x4 tippers and will operate them from its Oldbury, West Midlands site on a Transco gas mains installation and maintenance contract.
The day-cabbed eight-leggers have Trent Industry steel tipper bodies, Edbro underfloor tipping gear and HMF 1144 9.0tonne/metre Entercom bucket loader cranes. Scania's local distributor Keltruck has supplied the vehicles on a three year contract hire agreement.
Elstree, Hertfordshirebased McNicholas operates 1,800 trucks out of 11 UK operating centres.
