DAF Trucks (GB) Ltd has sold its 1000th vehicle in this country — a 36-ton FT2200DU tractive unit — to J. and R. Wright Ltd of Rutherglen, near Glasgow. It is the first of an order for five vehicles and was supplied by Scotts Engineering in Stirlingshire. The vehicle was the 100th DAF to he sold by Scotts.
