RENAULT IS offering CV Show visitors two-year free R&M packages on the new Magnum which debuted at the NEC.
This is one of a number of deals Renault is using to tempt operators. Others include free eligibility for the AS24 Renault Trucks Service Card, which includes benefits for international operators; and a 12-month free support package on selected Renault Choice Premium Privilege tractor units.
This package, which runs until 31 August, is available on a number of 2001-registered Y and 51-plated 420hp 6x2 tractors. Benefits include a year's free scheduled servicing, mechanical breakdown insurance, safety inspections and a free MoT test.
Renault is also launching a fully bodied 7.5-tonne range based on its Renault Midlum under the `Midlum Rapide' banner.
Light truck operators will ultimately be able to buy a fully bodied 7.5-tonne Midlum, with either a curtainsider or box body built byJCP,from any of Renault's 15 main UK distributors and satellite sites straight off the forecourt.
Although prices for these fullybodied vehicles have yet to be confirmed Renault promises that the Rapide concept will provide 7.5-tonne operators with a much quicker turnaround.
Each of the Renault main dealers will have one example of each Rapide model in stock, ready to roll.
Buyers who want any extra equipment such as tail-lifts fitted will also benefit by not having to wait for their trucks to be bodied, further reducing lead times.
The box and curtainsider bodies will be fitted at JCP's factory at Aldridge (CM 31 March).
