A TRUCK driver was kidnapped when his £60,000 load of computers was stolen from an industrial estate in Northamptonshire.
The incident happened between 2am and 4am on Wednesday 23 March when the driver was parked near to New Wave Logistics' site on the Brackmills industrial estate in Northampton. He was approached by four males in balaclavas; they forced their way into the cab and drove off with the driver still on board.
The driver was later released in the Nobottle area and his truck was found burnt out in Cheshire.
• In a separate incident a load of shoes was stolen from a truck parked on the A43 between Silver stone and Towcester on 25 March. The incident happened between 12.30ant and 7am when the container, attached to a white Renault tractor unit, was forced open. Police are appealing for information about both incidents.
