THE SHOW IS expected to attract more than 25,000 visitors over the three days. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders says the event at Birmingham's NEC is Europe's biggest business CV show, with about 630 exhibitors in 11 halls.
New for this year's show is a skills centre which is designed to address some of the industry's recruitment woes. Last year a record 29,000 people visited the event—Lip 25% on the previous year — but this may have been buoyed up by the Automotive Trade show, which is not part of this year's event. "If we got the same number of visitors as last year, we would be delighted," says an SMIVfT spokesman.
• The CV Show rims until today (7 April) at Birmingham's NEC; it's open From 8.30am-5.30pm.
