NOT SATISFIED WITH a national television series, the Stobart Group has found some space to promote itself even more... on the backsides of horse jockeys throughout the 2011 flat racing season.
The bum deal will see thousands of jockey’s backsides stamped with the Stobart logo all over Britain, as part of a new branding agreement. It’s a deal that also allows the Professional Jockeys Association (PJA) to reintroduce career-end insurance for its members.
Stobart Group chief executive Andrew Tinkler is a huge racing fan and has more than 60 horses in training this year. He says: “It is great that we can support the PJA in a way that is actually going to make a difference to the jockeys themselves.
“I understand the risks involved in business and we have processes in place to minimise those, so it is reasonable to suggest the same should be true in sport.”
