a new generation of four-axle stepframe low-loaders from King Trailers. Capable of carrying payloads up to 60 tonnes, the trailer has a deck height of 980mm and is designed to have extremely low loading angles to accommodate road planing and paving machines.
The low loading angle is achieved using cable-operated double-fold hydraulic ramps known as Mantis. As the main body of the ramp is lowered, a cam-operated cable linkage automatically unfolds the rear toe. King says the advantage is that the cables run in channels inside the ramps. The trailer is coupled to an FH12, plated at 80 tonnes.
