KENT-BASED haulier S&S Distribution has boosted its annual pre-tax profits by 14% and its turnover by 8%. According to its latest accounts the Tonbridge firm's profits rose to £356,952 in the financial year ending 31 July, up from f.313,099 the previous year.
The directors says one of the firm's successes was better debt management — outstanding debts fell nearly 4% compared with the previous year MD Richard Ball, explains that invoices were chased up more quickly.
S&S was founded in 1968, employs 100 people, runs more than 50 vehicles and has 300 clients.
