SOME NEWSPAPERS love to exaggerate, as HO Wilson Transport discovered last month. The Suffolkbased abnormal load haulier had to park up its fivevehicle convey on the A90 as snowfall had led to its customer's site being closed. It was delivering parts for a wind turbine. But a certain red top claimed "truckers [were] stranded in their cabs for a week". Director Graham Wilson cleared the air: "They weren't stranded, they'd pulled over until the site reopened." The fact that the newspaper published a photo of the convey without a snowflake in sight says it all, surely?
