OIL-ENGINE combustion systems L./form an ever-fruitful field for research, and the latest suggestions in this respect are dealt with by E. A. Gustavsson, Smalands-Taberg, Sweden, in patent No. 475,841. The object is to prevent rough running during partialload operation and, at the same time, to facilitate starting.
In the accompanying drawing, an one embodiment of Ile scheme, as applied to a pump operating on conventional principles. It will be seen that the plunger is equipped with a pair of fiat-sided projections (2) on the top face.
