NATIONAL Carriers has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of Paul Rivett as its new director of marketing. He moves _to his new post from being head of marketing.
And Len Maybanks, formerly regional manager for the South West, now becomes general sales manager supporting Mr Rivett. Mr Maybanks was responsible for the introduction ot National Carriers groupage services to Ireland.
Mr Rivett is a former senior consultant with the Unigate company involved with marketing, production and distribution.
Pickfords Heavy Haulage has appointed Robert Chesney as its new chief accountant at its Enfield headquarters. Mr Chesney moves to his new job from Thwaites and Reed where he was company secretary and accountant.
At Pickfords his task will include the reorganisation of the company's accounting systems.
London Transport has announced the appointment of its new chief industrial relations officer. He is John Cope and he takes over from W. H. MaHeft who is retiring after 46 years with LT.
Mr Cope joined LT in 1938 as a signal box boy.
Grey-Green has made management changes designed to improve its efficiency. Ken Bateman becomes express services manager in place of ' Colin Druce who moves to become commercial manager, deputising for the general manager, Tom McLachlan, and with responsibility for the operating departments.
Jim Browning has moved to become coach hire manager from being responsible for personnel while Mike Kay remains director of GreyGreen Travel. He also becomes sales manager of Grey-Green Coaches. Jam Coppen takes more respons bility as assistant to Mr Kay i the management of the travo office.
