THE AUTOMOTIVE engineer's bible, the SAE Handbook contains more than 900 standards and recommended practices. The new 1980 edition includes more than 120 new or revised standards. Many of these documents are referenced in US State and Federal regulations for minimum performance of such items as lighting equipment, hydraulic brake fluids, and belts.
An important feature of the 1980 edition is a completely new index — expanded and reorganised to enable readers to find the information they need faster and easier. The handbook is divided into two volumes, casebound to stand up to hard wear and in over 2000 pages gives the latest specifications for materials, components, hardware, safety, and performance through explanatory text, tables, charts and engineering drawings.
This new edition contairis 26 new reports, 100 updated or revised reports, over 2000 pages in 2 casebound volumes, more than 900 reports, a new easy-to-use indexing system, Metric equivalents on all new and revised reports. It is available from MIRA price £45.00.
