the acceptance of a £361,137 tender from A McFadden for a road drainage improvement scheme near the A470 Cardiff to Glan Conwy trunk road at Rhydyfelin, south-east of Pontypridd, Mid-Glamorgan.
The contract includes building about 380m of open, concrete-lined channel, including three concrete stepped spillways to reroute the River Lonydd and River Corrwg. It also includes building a box culvert beneath the A470.
Construction work is expected to begin shortly and take about six months.
