SSUGGESTIONS for overcoming traffic bottlenecks and reducing delays at ferries and toll bridges in the Western Highlands are to be submitted to the Scottish Tourist Board by their Highland Advisory Committee. This follows a report to the committee by Maj. A. Clark,. North Ballachulish. Maj.. Clark has carried out a survey of roads, bridges and ferries in the Western Hlighlands during the past 12 months, and has put forward the following proposals: Strome Ferry, Wester Ross, should either be by-passed by a new road or bridged; Ballachulish Ferry should be bridged or have a new causeway built; Loch Creran. near Oban, should be bridged; Cornet/ Ferry toll should be abolished.
