S1NCE quoting 75s. a ton for loads of steel girders and piling from Cargo Fleet to the Bradwell atomic power station site, Siddle C. Cook, Ltd., Consett, had been "held to ransom by other specialist hauliers. This was claimed at Newcastle upon Tyne last week, when the company asked Mr. J. A. T. Hanlon, Northern Licensing Authority, to add three pole-trailer vehicles to their A licence for carrying steel girders of exceptional length throughout the country.
