Now in its sixth year, this particular truck is a typical example of vehicles that are now returning to the used market. In the last three years several operators and hire/lease firms have extended agreements and sweated assets, but now, thanks to the looming Euro-6 deadline (1 January 2014), they are replacing older trucks. It has to be said that most of these older Euro-5s don't look pretty and have been underspecified from new — but occasionally you can find gems, like this one, that provide enough scope for a good few years.
This is an ideal, affordable truck. Its driveline is the universal 12.9-litre Paccar MX engine, producing 460hp with 2,300Nm torque and an automated 12-speed transmission. It also has the Space sleeper cab.
According to its vendor 02 Trucks, the used division of hire and lease company Commercial Vehicle Solutions (CVS), buyers can get a monthly finance rate of £474 over three years. There are also other finance options, warranty and servicing available.
