TIMONY TO THE ALBION.
The following is an extract from a letter which has just been received by the Albion Motor Car Co., Ltd., of Sootstoun, Glasgow, from a user of a considerable number of 30-cwt. Albion chassis in Madeira:— "My brother, who came over from Madeira a short time ago, told me that one of your lorries, in coming down a very steep hill in Madeira, for some reaaon or other got out of control. The native chauffeur managed to jump off the lorry before it went right through a wall, landing on one terrace about 12 ft. below the wall, and, not being content with staying there, went on to the next terrace, roughly speaking another 12 ft. below that, and was very little damaged. I am quits aware that you do not make lorries to work under these conditions, but I think that this is (mite a record." The circumstances surrounding this unrehearsed and, in some respects, unique feat serve to provide evidence of the sound design and construction of Albion vehicles, whilst at the 'same time upholding the prestige which the British product has gained abroad.
