riLASS-FIBRE materials for the rein
forcement of polyester resin systems are dealt with in a British Standards ,pecification recently published. This is BS. 3496, "Glass-fibre chopped strand mat."
Requirements for both. general and special-purpose mats are specified in the standard, which also covers requirements for various properties and stipulates the m;nimurn cross-breaking strength of a laminate prepared under specified conditions. Methods of test are included.
