Lord Douglas of Kirtleside, B.E.A. chairman, has already held a special conference of senior industrialists " to discuss the prospects of air trading with the Common Market:" In his annual report he states that, taking everything into account, total distribution costs of shipping by air are now highly competitive with surface carriage in Europe' for a large range of commodities.
