LEEDS OPERATOR Macfarlane Transport (Holdings) has unveiled its first big investment in new trucks since it started trading earlier this year.
The firm, which acquired the assets of collapsed haulier Macfarlane Transport in January, has now taken delivery of 25 MAN TGA tractor units with Euro-3 engines. And an order for another 20 units already just been placed, with the Firm in "advanced negotiations" to take 15 more Euro-4 TGAs later this year.
It says it prefers MAN's 'add nothing' EGR solution to Euro-4.
