licence was in use. The others had either been sold or scrapped. The company would be happy with a licence for 23 vehicles and 32 trailers. Since they had first been before the Commissioner, 18 vehicles and 16 trailers had been MOT tested again (CM 25-31 March).
Referring to a number of untaxed vehicles on the licences, North said many had been scrapped or sold up to two and a half years ago. He agreed that of the vehicles in possession, the tax on eight of them ran out at the end of March.
Mervvn Pugh said that there was clear evidence that the two businesses had run as one. Pugh wants future evidence that tax discs have been renewed and fines and back duty paid.
