Anton Industries of Chesterfield has .cently completed the conversion of a twin3cillating axle low-loader into a tandem tin-oscillating axle unit. It was achieved by (tending the main frames of the trailer bed ifficiently to accept the new bogie assembly, hich is of a double walking-beam type. On ich walking-beam are mounted two oscillatg axles carrying Michelin G 20 wheel and tyre iuipment. The rearmost of each pair of axles

steerable via a wheel and screw and mechanical linkage, to permit the bogie to be removed for loading purposes and manoeuvred Out of the way, and also to assist when negotiating corners. The bogie is plated for a 48 tons imposed load.
