• Renault will launch its highest powered Magnum model at the Amsterdam Show this week. The 16.4-litre Mack veeeight develops 560hp with 1,8201bft (2,468Nm) of torque. Renault UK is already taking orders; UK models should be on sale in May.
The engine meets the Euro-2 emissions standard and is fitted with the Mack VIVIAC electronic engine management system. The Magnum on display at Amsterdam features the TBV semi-automated 18-speed gearbox but UK variants will also be available with the standard Renault nine and 18-speed synchromesh manual boxes. The 560 is expected to come with the usual Magnum chassis options.
