• Newly formed United Trailers has shut Bridge Bodies' plant in Sutton Bridge, Lincs and switched production to WBS's factory at Wisbech, Cambs. But WBS managing director, George Booth says: "Bridge Bodies will continue as a separate company within the United Trailers group. The entire workforce has transferred to our Nene Parade site."
Booth dismissed rumours that the Nene Parade plant is earmarked for closure, and that all activities will be concentrated on the Wilcox plant at Market Deeping.
