IN Nuclear Electric has bought two of Angloco's compact 7.5tonne GVW, six-man fire tenders for its Dungeness and Sizewell B power stations.
They are based on Mercedes 814D panel vans with Rosenbauer NH20 water pumps and Fix-Mix foam systems to give them a first strike foam/water payload of 900 litres (200gal) from GRP tanks.
Continuous foam production is available using NEL's site hydrants; fire and rescue equipment is stowed in open-plan lockers.
Angloco's Scania-based appliance, which features the latest Mixmatic electronically controlled balanced pressure foam system, is now in service with BP Oil at Grangemouth. It will be on show in Glasgow at the Fire 93 Exhibition on 27-29 September.
