FOUR ports will have an 1-IM Customs-approved direct trader computerised input _system for Customs entry in operation by the autumn.
The system has been developed by Associated British Ports and is to be in operation at -Southampton, Hull, Poole and Portsmouth.
Shippers, agents and freight forwarders will be able to key in entry details at their office.
