udio visual specialist Philips and fuel giant, Esso have set up a scheme to enable schools to acquire state-of-the-art interactive technology, including Philips' Compact Dist Interactive which combines sound with video, text, animation and graphics. All schools have to do is send little Johnny and Janet home to weed out those forgotten Esso Tiger Tokens from dad or mum's glovebox. The scheme, called Pump Up the Knowledge, will exchange tokens for the full range of Philips' CD-i players and software.
