11 FleetBoard allows you to do the things you would be able to do using conventional fleet management, vehicle tracking, scheduling and maintenance systems. Its coverage falls into two main areas: vehicle management and transport operation management The product is modular; so
users only pay for what they require.
The vehicle management side includes things like vehicle maintenance scheduling and recording, breakdown management and vehicle diagnostic functions, as well as operational analysis of things like fuel consumption and brake wear.
The transport operation management elements include trip planning, job scheduling and management, vehicle arid consignment tracking, driver analysis (time worked, speeds, use of brakes, selection of correct gears, etc) and trailer related information (like load temperature monitoring).
Key parameters, such as a driver's average speed, fleet or vehicle fuel consumption, component
wear Or
percentage of vehi
time spent driving, can all --be ranked from 1-10; colour coding highlights good and bad performances.
FleetBoard handles text or voicebased communications between driver and base, and drivers can use the cabmounted keyboard and display to organise, manage and update individual orders on the job scheduling system. A breakdown button positioned over the driver's head sends a signal to base giving the vehicle's location and any error codes.
In time, drivers will also be able to check up an their own fuel consumption and other driving style data from within the cab and ultimately, with ownerdrivers in mind, there will be full in-cab access to the web site, with all the management reports offered there.
