Target customers arc ownaccount operators and Kenning is to emphasise its backup facilities as part of the contract hire package, such as its nationwide tyre service and dealer network which includes commercial vehicle franchises for Ford, Leyland, Bedford and MAN-VW.
Kenning has just announced reduced pre-tax profits for the year elided September 30, 1985, of :5.8 million.
This compares with million in 1984. Its UK operations did better than in the preceding year, but poor overseas performance — particularly the car rental business in America — dragged down the final results.
