U A truck driver involved in a Williams' company, GT&F
collision with a minibus in which five men were killed managed to save the two surviving occupants of the bus before they were engulfed by fire.
Brian Williams and a witness to the accident in west Wales used a hose from a nearby cottage to extinguish the flames before the fire service arrived.
Another employee of Feeds, of Llandovery, says: "If it was not for our driver and the driver behind him, then the other two might have lost their lives as well."
The accident happened on a bend of the 84336 north of Carmarthen, between Llanfihangel-ar-arth and LlanlIwni.
Williams, who suffered minor irijuries, was driving a Volvo FL? bulk-feed tipper which hit the side of the Ford Transit minibus.
The occupants of the bus were employees of a meat packing company who were being driven home from work. The survivors, a woman and a man, suffered multiple injuries.
Police say there had been a snow shower shortly before the accident, but the cause is still being investigated.
