S&R SMITH’S flagship Daf XF looked happy and glorious when it drove through central London for the first time painted in its special Queen’s Diamond Jubilee livery.
The firm, which is based in West Thurrock, Essex, has previously created cab designs to mark her Majesty’s Golden Jubilee in 2002, as well as the 2006 football World Cup.
MD Lee Smith tells CM: “We wanted to do something special for the Jubilee and were delighted with the admiring looks the trucks were getting from people when it was driven through Westminster.” The Diamond Jubilee cab will help deliver goods to supermarkets throughout the south-east of England.
