Those of your readers concerned with our heritage must have been alarmed to read "CV museum's days are numbered" (CM 24-30 April).
As chairman of the trustees of the British Commercial Vehicle Museum, I can reassure them that the museum is properly funded to continue its activities for the foreseeable future.
We continue to receive a disappointing response to our requests for financial support from the British commercial vehicle industry, and the withdrawal of sponsorship from a third-party source has forced us to restrict opening hours this year but we are confident that we can maintain and sustain this unique collection.
1 would be grateful to hear from any organisations or individuals who may be able to assist us with a worthwhile cause. The museum is open on Bank Holidays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 21 October.
