I HAVE TO take issue with Andrew Simmonds’ views on first aid training being part of his Driver CPC. Our stance on Truck & Driver is against a system that allows the same course to be taken five times, recommending that you undertake training that will be of use. I can’t think of a more useful skill than first aid. Just ask the driver who collapsed just before this year’s Truckfest opened, but is still with us today thanks to the speedy intervention of a handy Driver CPC trainer.
