by East Licensing Authority, Brigadier Compton Boyd. Yet Raymond Davey, trading as Walton Transport of Chesterfield, has been allowed to continue operating under an interim licence for four weeks to give him time to produce a satisfactory maintenance contract.
If such a contract is produced Boyd has indicated that he will grant Davey a new licence for a probationary period of 18 months, but he is not prepared to grant him an additional vehicle. Davey was warned last September that his licence would be revoked if there were further maintenance problems.
